Healthcare Over the Holiday Season
Our practice will be closed from 12pm on Tuesday 24th December, reopening Wednesday 8th January at 8.30am.
If you need support over the holiday season you access care in the following ways: Phone our clinic 24/7 to speak with a registered nurse for advice. Virtual GP appointments are available using CareHQ (7am - 9pm, 7 days per week). As a benefit of belonging to our practice, CareHQ appts are subsidised over the holiday season, when booked via the MyIndici portal. See link for details. In December 2024 we will start to use Heidi, a note taking tool designed for use by health professionals to accurately and efficiently capture the details of our consultation discussions and the outcome of our appointments.

Heidi ensures that we can focus on our conversation and not on manual note taking, enhancing the quality of the care you receive.
Step-By-Step Processing of Information
Heidi converts the consultation conversation to a text to create a transcript of what was discussed. This transcription is happening live as we speak, so no direct recording of the conversation is ever stored. Once the transcript is complete it is de-identified and passed through the Heidi model where it is converted to a medical record, according to settings selected by your Doctor. Your Doctor will review the details of this medical record to ensure accuracy, and then add it to our Electronic Health Record (Indici). This transcribed note is securely stored in an encrypted, de-identified manner and can be deleted at anytime by your Doctor. During storage, only the Doctor with you during the consultation has access to your medical information. We will always ask your consent prior to using of Heidi during a consultation.
Heidi is compliant with the Privacy Act 2020 and the New Zealand Information Privacy Principles (NZ IPPs). Your health information will be handled with the utmost care and Heidi's use is aimed solely at improving your healthcare experience. Heidi is used widely across NZ and internationally, in a range of healthcare settings.
